Manager: Josh Spooney - Former Head Coach of the Cape Breton Expos and the Cape Breton University Capers Men’s Baseball Team. He has also helped coach intermediate baseball divisions, Memorial High School, and little league teams within Sydney Mines Minor Baseball in the past. His Highlighted-playing career includes: 4 Consecutive Atlantic Conference Championships 2009-2012 playing in the Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association (Now known as the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association), National Championship runner-up 2009 & 2012, 2-time CCBA All-Canadian Awards 2009 & 2013 , 1 CCBA Atlantic Conference Batting Title 2013, Sydney Sooners player 2010, NSSAF Baseball MVP 2006-2007, and NS Youth Selects Core-roster player 2003. He also has a decorated list of championships won at numerous levels he played in.

Player Development: Tyler Spooney - Former player in the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association (CCBA) for the Cape Breton University Capers, as well as, player in Little League Canada's Big League & Senior Little League Divisions. Highlights during his playing days include 2013 CCBA All Canadian Award, Memorial High School Baseball MVP 2011-2013, Memorial High School Male Athlete of the Year 2012-2013, National Championship Runner up Senior League and Big League Divisions 2011 & 2013. Tyler has also helped develop children in Sydney Mines Minor Baseball throughout his playing career. He too has won several baseball championships throughout his days of competition.
Certified Athletic Therapist: Morganne Layton: One of the only CAT(C)’s working clinically on the island. As an AT, Morganne adheres to the sports medicine model of care where clients take an active role in their treatment process. Treatments include but are not limited to full injury assessment, postural evaluation, gait analysis, concussion management, deep tissue massage, modalities, exercise prescription, flexibility & balance programs and taping. She has been treating and educating local athletes (dance, hockey, basketball, runners, personal trainers) as well as the general public (nurses, industrial workers, seniors) and the results show that Athletic Therapy is for everyone.
